Easter ... Almost as exciting as Christmas!!!

Its Easter again, and for us, that means things are VERY busy again! Good Friday is the only day of the year that the pub is closed, so that means, the only day EVERYONE can attend the staff party, so yesterday was the annual Bersy staff party! Generally speaking, what a great afternoon/night! There was an enourmous sprinkler for all the kids to run around under, honestly, its even bigger than what you could possibly be imaging! So big in fact, the adults were even able to play a game of footy under it ... With plenty of room to spare!!!Then there was a mud slide, YES, real mud, from the ground! The kids had an absolute ball, once the first one went down it ... I really wish I got photos of that now that I think about it! Ofcourse the adults without kids thought it was great, telling the kids to throw them at mum and dad, or give mum and dad a great big hug! Thankfully our girls went running for Andy (Dan's assistant manager, who we have become quite good friends with) and he copped all the mud ... Ha Ha Ha Ha, hehehe ;). The food was awesome, the drinks got drunk, and as always, there's the one clown to make a fool of themselves! All in all though, what a great start to the Easter festivities in the Sykes household :) !!!

Today Dan is working, so the girls adn I are having a healthy day in preparation for the copious amounts of chocolate I plan to eat tomorrow. Tomorrow, Dan will actually get to put his feet up for the day, we will be eating LOT'S of Hot Cross Bun's, chocolate ones, for breakfast, and then we will head over to Camille's house for an Easter Egg Hunt outside, lunch, and some glasses of wine with some friends! Im pretty sure by Monday the kids will be literally bouncing off the walls after the amount of chocolate they will be eating, it's one day in a year ... Yes, I am finally taking that chill pill and realxing about the idea that my kids are going to be lunatics for an entire day or two, I just might join them :)

I do wish we could be with our family again, it's these times of the year that especially bring out the crunch! Times like this that make that eventual hug so much more sentimental ... <3
